I don't think I could have asked for a better birthday. Not only was it my shop's first official day of business, but I also hosted Austin's Rookie readers for a meet-up! About 40 bright, young things stopped by to check out the shop, collage, chit-chat, play the "Who am I?" game, munch some candy, get to know one another and explore East Austin -- it was a blast. Rookie has the most earnest, sharp, rad readers! That's so surprise though considering it's amazing founder. I can't wait to see what else Austin's Rookie readers have up their sleeves. My guess is some pretty rad things are going to come from these ladies and gents. Thanks again to everyone who came out and made the day special!
