Esby Pop-Up

Effortless, tomboy-chic pieces are popping up all over as of late and I, for one, couldn't be happier. Esby champions this style, well effortlessly! "Clothing for women with [a] menswear mentality" is how owner/designer Stephanie Beard puts it - think perfect button ups, un-fussy day dresses, expert tailoring & easy day-to-night pieces. Fresh off it's first collection, Esby was launched right here in Austin. Fittingly, Beard spent the past 10 years designing for menswear giants like Converse and Levi's. Lucky for us she's sharing all her gorgeous wares this Friday, June 27th! Join us and explore Esby's inaugural collection and sip cocktails from Dripping Springs.

Check out their collection video - so cute!

Ace & Jig F/W '13

I'm pretty in love with Ace & Jig's fall collection. Something just feels so right about classic shapes, easy trousers, simple doll dresses and rich wine tones for fall. A&J hit the mark as usual. The collection is streaming into stores now -- including at Olive!

Kahlo's Closet

I've always wanted to see Mexico City -- for all sorts of reasons: food, architecture, art, food and, yeah a bit more food. When doing a little imaginary traveling (bless the internet) I discovered Frida Kahlo's closet will be on display through the end of November & now I'm itching to get down there eve more!

"When [Kahlo] died, her husband, Diego Rivera, ordered her cloths be locked up for 15 years. When Diego passed three years later, a philanthropist  art collector and old friend of the couple, Delores Olmedo became the manager of their homes. She kept all of Kahlo's belongings guarded under lock and key for decades until she too passed away in 2004 and the fashion time capsule of an icon; a treasure chest, was finally unlocked." If you want to learn a bit more there's a great video about the collection here.

Killing it: Loeffler Randall

Oof! The color pallet, the snake skin, the metallics -- Loeffler Randall is killing it right now. As if that weren't enough, some of these beauties are even on sale! Better go freeze my credit card in a block of ice before I hurt myself.

No. 6 S/S '12

I've always been a huge fan of clothes with movement; something that whips in the wind and sways when you walk. Feeling fabric swirl around you is so comforting. I much prefer it to contour hugging lines - a little mystery works better for me. No. 6's spring collection nails that swishy, comfy, chic mood effortlessly. I'd love to get my hands on that acid yellow skirt - so killer.
