Après Ski

I'm in love with Après Ski's simple Spring lookbook. My friend Sarah of Hey Murphy turned me onto their work and I can't thank her enough! Their straightforward aesthetic is so refreshing. Pretty pastels, minimal styling, tight top knots and round specs are right up my alley. Oh, and let's not forget that killer jewelry! Embracing brass, resin and sharp geometric shapes lends the line a sort of art-deco-meets-1984 look. A pretty rad look if you ask me. I'd love to get my hands on a necklace or two.

No. 6 S/S '12

I've always been a huge fan of clothes with movement; something that whips in the wind and sways when you walk. Feeling fabric swirl around you is so comforting. I much prefer it to contour hugging lines - a little mystery works better for me. No. 6's spring collection nails that swishy, comfy, chic mood effortlessly. I'd love to get my hands on that acid yellow skirt - so killer.

Emerson Fry S/S '12

I'm so in love with the paired down simplicity of Emerson Fry's (formerly EmersonMade) spring looks. Every piece in the collection looks like a forever item - you know, something you'll keep forever. True closet staples: tomboy chic blazers, generously cut tanks, pointed sling backs, simple tunic dresses. I think if I could snap up any of her gems it would have to be that rosy 4 button blazer. How about you?

Happy Spring!

Top: vintage // Jeans: Forever 21 // Shoes: Gianni Bini // Jewelry: vintage turquoise ring, great-grandmother's gold and turquoise bangle (borrowed, thanks mom!), vintage silver bangle

Well today is officially the first day of spring. Nothing like a splash of color to celebrate. These coral suede platforms did just the trick. I almost passed out when I stumbled upon them in a sale rack for $27! These babes have been in constant rotation ever since.

Boy. by Band of Outsiders Spring '12

Boy. by Band of Outsiders nailed it again with their dreamy polaroid Spring '12 lookbook. It seemed tough to top last season's collection shot in the amazing Sheats Goldstein Lautner house - you know, the one Jackie Treehorn was shacking up in. Come to think of it the Spring '11 lookbook with Kiki was pretty killer too. But I have a serious soft spot for Michelle Williams. Maybe it's because folks used to say I looked like Jen in high school, maybe it's because she's such a talented actress, maybe it's because she seems like a pretty sweet mamma, or because she seems like such a damn sweetheart ... I could go on. Obviously this girlcrush is serious. And now here she is digging up Hitchcock's grave in Band of Outsiders!! Sheesh, you're killing me Michelle. I guess have one more thing to add to the list.

Check out the entire lookbook here.
