Well now I know what my feet are missing: miniaturized master paintings, obviously. I'm sure my day would be better with Matisse ladies circling my ankles. Super stylist Kate Brien styled these crazy rad art socks for Vogue to celebrate the Frieze Art Fair last month & they've been stuck in my head ever since. A little googling unearthed a treasure trove of art socks - looks like it's time for a weekend treat!

Gift Guide #2: Stay Cozy
It's cold out! A little something to keep your sweetie cozy is just the ticket. Warm scarves & snuggly socks always make a good team. A yummy candle, fancy lighter & minty soap are a good call for some quality bath time. Either way, you can't go wrong!

I'm dyeing.
Have you ever seen such gorgeous Shibori dying!? I am blown away by Brooklyn based designer, Jilsu's, expert work. The ancient Japanese dying technique is having a bit of a resurgence at the moment but until recently the craft was all but lost.
"Where once ever village in Japan had it's own special Shibori pattern, today it is a nearly lost art. Once the designer drops the coiled fabric into the dye bath, the convocation of material, dye and water takes hold of the design process. From this union themes singular to each piece emerge: no two are alike. Beauty lies in reanimating this nearly lost art and in the distinct variation of color and pattern presented by every item."
I'm so glad Jilsu, along with many other talented designers, are bringing this forgotten art back to life. No it's time to start saving my pennies for one of these pretties.

Killing it: Loeffler Randall
Oof! The color pallet, the snake skin, the metallics -- Loeffler Randall is killing it right now. As if that weren't enough, some of these beauties are even on sale! Better go freeze my credit card in a block of ice before I hurt myself.

Dainty Leather.
I love buttery leather. It feels just right, it smells good, it looks luscious, it ages beautifully, but its pretty much relegated to bags, wallets and the like. Sure, if you're bold you could throw on a pair of leather pants or maybe even shorts, but for the most part, I'd say leather rests pretty comfortably in accessory land. So, when Natalie of Canoe, an Austin leather goods line, told me she was branching out in the jewelry I couldn't wait to see the finished product. Last weekend I had the pleasure of styling their fall lookbook & getting an early peek into her first foray into jewelry & I couldn't be more psyched. Somehow Natalie captured that easy, cool look of leather without the weight or bulk. Buttery hand tooled bits perched on the daintiest little gold chains -- it's the best of both worlds. Canoe's pieces are sure to find themselves in the cannon of cool-girl chic staples.

Summer Crystals
Warby Parker, get out! Can't you just imagine soaking up the rest of the summer behind a pair of these babes? Those blue lookers are practically begging me to pop them on, head to the nearest pool (pretend I'm in the Caribbean) & sip on piña coladas. Or maybe I just want an excuse to drink piña coladas.

Found...
I found it! I'm pretty sure this is the perfect hat. Floppy, but not too floppy. Just tough enough. Pretty pink for spring. Magenta for fall. Oh and $12 a pop!

Who knew?: Hair Rings
What a cool idea, right? Pretty little rings - in gold & silver - to wind in your hair however you like. Clip them in to tousled waves, fishtail braids, a messy bun, go nuts! Seems like such a delicate, romantic way to dress up an otherwise ordinary doo. That spine-y earring is another story all together...

Heart LR
Loeffler Randall's capsule collection with Sven Clogs, Heart LR, could not be more spot on for spring. Neons and nudes look so pretty and unexpected together. I'm lusting after these neon yellow babes. Though I'd happily take the blush and electric coral (below).
